Fall So Slow
She was delicate and resilient,
Grew up free but innocent,
In the meadow, she ran reckless –
Picking flowers fragile and precious.
Gave everything she had to you,
A love so pure, so true,
But you chose to break her heart –
Now only as strong as the weakest part.
You stripped her dreams and crushed her spirit,
Before she even knew how to quit it.
Achingly slow and out of control –
No way left to escape this rabbit hole.
Where do we go from here?
Watch the petals disappear.
They fall so slow –
Forego they lie low.
Grew up free but innocent,
In the meadow, she ran reckless –
Picking flowers fragile and precious.
Gave everything she had to you,
A love so pure, so true,
But you chose to break her heart –
Now only as strong as the weakest part.
You stripped her dreams and crushed her spirit,
Before she even knew how to quit it.
Achingly slow and out of control –
No way left to escape this rabbit hole.
Where do we go from here?
Watch the petals disappear.
They fall so slow –
Forego they lie low.
